Who's Yona?
Hola/Hello/Ma Nishma?For those who never met me, my name is Yona.I have been living here on this beautiful land, in this awesome community in Florestral Expansion, Costa Rica for the past 3 years.I moved here at the time from Los Angeles, in search of a more nature filled environment, conscious community, and medicine path exploration. And gratefully I found all that and more right here.Filmmaker, musician, artist, ceremonialist, and all around magical human - I am driven to bring an energy of healing, love, joy, and connection to all those I cross paths with in life.Why am I looking to split my land?There are a few answers to this. For one, I am seeking some more financial security in this time of my life, as I'm transitioning between careers, healing a medical condition, and looking to have more money to spend on my studies of plant medicine ceremonial path.Secondly - I am transitioning out of living here in Florestral Expansion full time. With all the love and appreciation I have for the land and community, after 3 years on the land I am now at a point where I wish to manifest a more private piece of land to live on most of the year.My vision is to transition out of full-time living here by the end of 2024. In my absence, I will rent my cabin or find a housesitter that aligns with the values of the community and the land.
The Community
Established as plant medicine retreat center over 10 years ago, Florestral is now evolving into a budding eco-village community of over 50 members, from all around the globe.All of us are connected through the values of love for the Earth, peace, and living in harmony with nature.This is a special place, with private swimmable river pools, waterfalls, fruit trees, and exotic animals - all surrounding your future home.It is located in the heart of the Diamante Valley, in the southern zone of Costa Rica - surrounded by other New Earth communities, retreat centers, amazing people, and some of the most lush nature on the planet.There are young families, elders, and children - all of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. We are mystic healers, incredibly talented artists, and ambitious entrepreneurs- co-existing with heart-centered intentional living.About a 45-minute drive from the vibrant beach town of Dominical. And a 45-minute drive to the nearest big city Perez Zeledon, where you can buy all your groceries, find a hospital/medical services, and shop for anything you may need.Much more than just a property investment - this is an opportunity to join a thriving community. The Land Lot
The land shared on my lot is relatively small (750sq meters or 8000sq feet), but the overall communal land is beyond 30 hectares!On this specific land lot, you will have about 190sq meters (around 2000sq feet) meters to develop and build a modest jungle home/cabin. We will share a common fire pit area, a grassy sun garden with exotic fruit trees, and whatever else we wish to create together!By buying into the lot, you will also join the community, where there are weekly events, potlucks, offerings, and discounts on retreats/events that take place on the Florestral Retreat Center side. There are plans for a food forest, school, amphitheater, and so much more.
The Details
* Asking price is $30,000 USD. With an option for a 50% deposit, and the remainder to be paid within 6 months after deposit.* The lot size is 750sq meters, we will split it evenly at 375sq meters each. As agreed in the community, we can only develop or build on about 50% of the land - which is why you would have around 190sq meters to build a home on.* Once paid in full, you will be able to start building/developing and living on the land. If you want to come camp here or stay at my place to feel the energy of the land for a few nights and days, that's welcome.* There is Clean, Local spring/river drinking Water, Electric and Fiber Optic internet available on the lot. You will be responsible for paying to get it connected to your home. WiFi bill could potentially be split, using range extenders.* Friendly Pets are allowed! I have a sweet loving Chocolate Labrador and she would love some friends on the land.* Preference will be given to single individuals or couples - those without big families (bless the children, but I prefer to keep the noise level down on the land).* There are community guidelines that will be observed while living here - things related to noise levels, no use of hard drugs, and other topics. Those who are seriously interested can request to read the community agreement guidelines (which will need to be signed if you do buy in).* You can rent your home while away too! But preferably not to big families, to keep the noise down. Also, you cannot advertise on Airbnb, it needs to be locally advertised or shared by word of mouth. This is to keep the community more harmonious with whoever comes in and out. There are always people in our extended community who are looking to rent - so I can almost guarantee it will not be hard to find someone to rent!
